Set up a ticket system with transcripts
Create a private support ticket system in Discord: a ticket category, a support role, a button panel and transcripts saved to a log channel.
Tickets give each support request its own private channel, so conversations don't get lost in a busy chat and personal details stay out of public view.
What you need
- A category for ticket channels, e.g. "Support Tickets"
- A support role for the people who answer tickets
- Optionally a private log channel for transcripts
Setup
- Run
/ticket setupwithcategory,support_roleand optionallylog_channel. - Go to your public help channel and run
/ticket panelwith thatchannel. Give it atitleanddescriptionthat tell people when to open a ticket. - Optional:
/ticket welcomesets the first message inside every new ticket.
A good welcome message asks for what you always end up asking: what happened, screenshots, and the user ID of anyone involved.
During a ticket
/ticket addbrings in another user or role (for example a senior moderator)./ticket removetakes them out again.
When a ticket is closed, its transcript is sent to the log channel you chose.
Note: Discord allows 50 channels per category. For very busy servers, close finished tickets promptly.
