Terms of Service

By interacting with Hana Bot ("the Service"), adding it to a Discord server ("Guild Install"), or authorizing it on your personal Discord account ("User App Install"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are acting on behalf of a server, you bind the entire server to these terms. If you install Hana globally on your account, you accept personal liability for your command invocations across all platforms.

• Dual Installation Contexts: Under Discord's updated architecture, Hana can be authorized as a Guild Install (Integration Type 0) or a User App Install (Integration Type 1). Telemetry metrics map separately depending on context to optimize data transmission loops.
• Cross-Server Invocations: If you trigger user-installed commands in a third-party server, you assume full responsibility for any disciplinary actions taken by that server's moderation team for executing those commands. Hana's developers are not liable for user app command interactions on external servers.
• Consent to Telemetry Logging: By using the Service, you explicitly consent to the automatic logging of your command execution latency (both for Slash and Legacy Prefix commands), system error exception details with detailed execution stack traces, voice channel session durations, daily channel activity aggregates, and general messaging behavioral telemetry as detailed in our Privacy Policy. This data is collected solely for security, performance optimization, and anti-abuse verification.
• Growth & Performance Telemetry: To monitor system scalability, the Service aggregates overall guild metrics into daily snapshots (hana_analytics_daily_bot_stats). This maps active server counts, estimated user reach, user-app installation counts, and concurrent voice peaks over a 30-day index.

You agree to adhere strictly to our acceptable use guidelines to maintain the safety, integrity, and performance of the Service for all users.

• Prohibited Actions: You may not violate Discord's Terms of Service, or use the bot to promote hate speech, self-harm, child exploitation (CSAM), or illegal acts.
• Automation & Spam Scripts: The use of automated scripts, "user-bots," self-bots, or external macros to interact with the bot, farm the global Economy, or spam command triggers is strictly prohibited.
• Heuristic Detection Systems: Hana's advanced Behavioral Intelligence Engine monitors typing rates, message typing latencies (measuring the seconds elapsed between typing onset and message transmission), uppercase character-to-alphabetic ratios, question/exclamation mark density indices, and hourly interaction distributions. Any user account flagged with a high "Bot Probability Score" (indicating robotic, clockwork-like precision or inhuman typing speeds) will be flagged as a suspected bot and permanently blacklisted across all guild and user-app contexts.
• Mention & Ping Exception Handling: Standard chat mentions/pings of the bot (e.g. casual conversational inputs) are explicitly parsed as conversational triggers and are excluded from being treated as failed command executions (CommandNotFound errors) to prevent system error logging anomalies.
• System Abuse: Intentionally spamming commands, trying to crash our hosting substrate, or attempting to "jailbreak" or inject prompts to bypass our internal AI safety filters is a violation of these terms.

Hana utilizes unmoderated or loosely moderated third-party Large Language Models (LLMs) and Image Generation APIs (including Google Gemini, Groq, and Inception AI) to produce User Generated Content (UGC).

• No Liability for Outputs: AI models are prone to "hallucinations." They may occasionally generate inaccurate, defamatory, offensive, explicit, or copyright-infringing content, despite our safety filters. You explicitly acknowledge that the Developer has zero control over the exact mathematical output of these models.
• Assumption of Risk: By using the /ask-hana, /generate, or any AI-integrated features, you assume 100% of the risk. We explicitly disclaim all liability for any psychological, legal, or reputational damage caused by content generated by the bot at your prompt.
• Prompt Limits & Quotas: Standard and custom user/role limits are enforced dynamically via our cloud database. Circumventing daily limits via alternate accounts is a violation of these terms.

Through the /hana_profile command, authorized server administrators may override Hana's local avatar and banner in their specific servers.

• Strict Liability for Uploads: You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right, copyright clearance, or license to use any image, logo, or banner uploaded to Hana's profile customize system.
• Forensic Audit Logging: To prevent DMCA violations and maintain safety, Hana’s core system dynamically records your Discord User ID, Guild ID, timestamp, and the direct attachment URLs in our Supabase style_audit table.
• Automatic Enforcement: Any uploaded assets found to violate copyright, trademark, or Discord TOS will result in an immediate global reset of the server style, a developer alert, and a permanent server-wide blacklist from the customization system.

Hana provides powerful server-level security tools, including channel lockdowns, automated spam/link filters, raid-prevention, and anti-nuke mechanisms.

• Anti-Nuke Panic Mode: Hana's advanced Anti-Nuke system detects rapid, unauthorized administrative actions. If triggered, the bot automatically activates "Panic Mode" and strips dangerous administrative permissions from vulnerable roles.
• Server Damage Exemption: The Developer is entirely exempt from any responsibility regarding the moderation of your server. If a software glitch, network rate-limit, or automated defense protocol results in accidental bans, locked channels, or stripped role permissions, you hold the Developer harmless. You grant Hana these permissions at your own absolute risk.
• Tribunal Appeals: Banned users can submit formal appeals. Reinstatement or denial of bans is decided solely by the server’s designated moderation tribunal. Hana acts merely as a secure, stateless message router and is not a judge in server-level disputes.

To comply with Discord's developer guidelines and local youth protection laws, Hana utilizes strict age-gating and user consent protocols.

• Age Verification: Some features are restricted to age-gated (NSFW) channels or require explicit verification via /rp allow-nsfw. You officially certify under penalty of perjury that you are of legal majority (18+) in your jurisdiction when enabling these settings.
• No PII Collection: Our age-verification system is purely behavioral; we do not collect or store physical identification cards, government documents, or personally identifiable information (PII). We only store boolean verification states mapped to your Discord User ID in our database.
• Active Consent Protocol: When attempting restricted roleplay actions, the ConsentLayout requires the target user to explicitly opt-in and consent. You may not bypass, automate, or spam the consent prompts. Misuse or bypass of the consent gates will result in an immediate global ban.

Hana features a globally connected virtual economy, including minigames, a player stock market, and an inventory system.

• No Real-World Value: The currency used by Hana ("Chips") and all associated virtual items possess absolutely NO real-world monetary value. We hold no liability for "lost" virtual currency due to bugs, database restores, or economy rebalances.
• No Real Money Trading (RMT): You may not buy, sell, or trade "Chips", stocks, or virtual items for real-world currency, cryptocurrency, or out-of-ecosystem goods. Doing so violates Discord Developer Terms and will result in an immediate and permanent global ban from the bot.
• Anti-Abuse Transaction Audits: All virtual currency transfers, daily claims, work cycles, and stock trades are logged and audited in our secure transaction ledgers. The use of multiple alternate ("alt") accounts to farm daily rewards, split trade loops, or bypass daily limits is strictly prohibited. Involved profiles will have their balances wiped, inventories cleared, and accounts blacklisted.
• IPO & Stock Liabilities: Filing an Initial Public Offering (IPO) for your custom stock is a permanent, lifetime action. By filing, you agree to have your entire stock portfolio and balance reset to the base level. If you fail to keep your stock active through daily activity, the stock will crash and be deleted; you hold the developer harmless for any lost virtual shares.

We operate under strict privacy-by-design standards to protect your data while securing the bot's infrastructure against malicious actors.

• GDPR Data Deletion: Any user can request complete, permanent erasure of their data from the Hana system. Under the /rp wipe and /timezone-remove protocols, executing a delete command securely wipes your economy statistics, preferences, and logged cases from the Supabase DB and RAM cache.
• Analytics and Behavioral Purging: All coalesced behavioral entries, voice logs, command execution telemetry, and diagnostic exception traces are tied strictly to your numeric Discord User ID. If you request a full account wipe, we will permanently purge all matching rows from our hana_analytics_behavioral, hana_analytics_commands, hana_analytics_errors, and hana_analytics_voice_sessions tables within 30 days.
• Guild Event and Join Logs: When Hana Bot is invited to or removed from a server, the transition parameters are tracked in hana_analytics_guild_events (storing guild ID, name, owner ID, member counts, and timestamps) for historical growth auditing. Upon an explicit account wipe request from the verified Guild Owner, matching guild records will be permanently removed.
• Internal Security Blacklist Ledger: If you are found to be abusing the bot, attempting exploits, or violating these Terms of Service, we reserve the right to permanently blacklist your account. To maintain network safety and comply with Discord Developer Policies, violating accounts are added to our internal, secure blacklist ledger to permanently restrict access to Hana's features. No personal identifying information is displayed publicly.

We reserve the right to permanently blacklist, ban, or restrict any user, server, or entity from using Hana Bot at our sole discretion, without prior notice or explanation, particularly for violations of these Terms.
