Join-to-create voice channels and text-to-speech
Give every member their own voice room they can lock, hide and hand over, and let Hana read chat aloud with per-member voices.
Join-to-create rooms
Instead of a wall of empty voice channels, members join one "create" channel and get their own room.
- Create a voice channel named something like ➕ Create a room, and a category for the rooms.
- Run
/vc setupwithjoin_channelandcategory. Leavesync_permissionson so new rooms copy the category's permissions.
The room's owner controls it:
| Command | Effect |
|---|---|
/vc lock / /vc unlock | Only permitted people can join |
/vc hide / /vc unhide | Hide the room from the channel list |
/vc permit / /vc reject | Allow or kick and block up to five people at once |
/vc limit | User limit |
/vc name | Rename |
/vc transfer | Give ownership to someone else |
/vc claim | Take over if the owner left |
Turn the system off with /vc disable.
Text-to-speech
TTS is for members who can't or don't want to talk.
- Join a voice channel and run
/tts join. Hana reads that channel's chat aloud. - Each member picks a voice, speed and pitch with
/tts myvoice. /tts sayspeaks one message, with flags for accents and effects./tts flagslists them all.
/tts announcer-join makes Hana announce who joins and leaves voice. Server defaults (auto-join, announcer) are in /tts config.
Admins can stop TTS reading a specific user with /tts blacklist. /tts stop stops the current audio and /tts disconnect ends the session.
